The weather outside may be COLD, but this Hot Strawberry and Tangerine Metabolism Boosting Drink will warm you up and help you lose weight! It contains fruits that are high in Vitamin C which are also big metabolism boosters!
One of my favorite combos is strawberries and tangerines, and this drink is delicious both hot and cold.
I recently came across dried strawberries, which means I can have this all year long but if you can’t find them don’t fret, just slice fresh or frozen strawberries and plan on using a fine-mesh sieve, coffee filter, or tea bag as they might fall apart.
Makes 1 pot of tea or 1 liter of cold drink.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup dried or fresh sliced strawberries
- The rind of one tangerine- try to get little to none of the white pith
- Water
Get started:
There are two ways to make Hot Strawberry and this Tangerine Metabolism Boosting Drink: 1) Put it all in the tea-pot, 2) Make individual cups. It all depends on your willingness to wash your tea-pot. I have also included a cold version of this delicious drink.
Teapot instructions- Place the tangerine rind and strawberries into a teapot, cover with water and bring to a boil. To serve cover the nose of your tea-pot with a coffee filter or use a fine-mesh sieve over your tea-cup to avoid strawberry pulp.
Individual tea cups- Boil water, add in 1/4 of the rind and a tablespoon of dried strawberries. Allow the strawberries to plump up and just as they start to fall apart (about 3 minutes) use a fork to scoop them out and discard them. Leave the rind in the tea-cup for both added flavor and beauty.
Make it cold- Boil 3 cups (or as much as your tea-pot will hold) of water making the “tea pot instructions” let it cool with the fruit left in then strain into a 1-liter jug discarding the strawberries. Top with water until it is full, pluck out the tangerine rind, rinse and add to jug then place in the fridge to cool. Serve over ice and drink up. If you want to do a bigger jug just double the recipe.
9. Metabolism Boosting Apple Pie Tea
With the days getting shorter and the nights colder, we’ve got a great hot fruit infused water recipe that will warm you up and tastes great too.
Now that the weather has turned cold I wanted to try a warm version of my favorite Apple Pie flavored drink and this was a perfect choice.
What you need:
- 1 Fuji or another sweet apple thinly sliced
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks (do not use powder it will not dissolve)
Get started:
You have two options, the teapot or teacup method.
For the teapot method, pile all the ingredients into your teapot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Serve in a teacup or travel mug with an extra cinnamon stick to stir with if desired.
For the teacup method, place 1/4 of your apple slices and 1/2 a cinnamon stick to a teacup or travel mug, pour boiling water over the cinnamon stick and apples and let steep until cool enough to drink, 2-4 minutes. Refill teacup with hot water until the flavor is lost, at that time discard used fruit and cinnamon and add another 1/4 cup of your apple slices and another 1/2 cinnamon stick.
10. Fall Fruit Infused Water with Pears, Cranberries, and Clementines
Fall is in the air. Trees are changing, the air is getting cooler, new TV episodes are on, and football is back. In honor of my favorite season, I have created this delicious Fall fruit infused water to drink!
This unique recipe is so delicious and refreshing. It has a bite from the allspice berries which is then mellowed by the sweetness of the pears and clementines. It’s not your typical “pumpkin-spice-flavored” Fall drink.YUM! I love this drink!
Questions about Clementines? They are just like tangerines and also called Cuties but you could easily replace by a juicy orange or blood orange for extra color.
Makes 1 pitcher, refill 3-5 times until flavor dissipates.
- 1 Pear thinly sliced
- 1 Clementine Orange cut into 8ths
- 1 tbsp. Dried Cranberries
- 1 tsp. All Spice Berries (look like peppercorns)
Instruction:
Top w/ 1.5 cups ice and then fill up with water and let sit 3 hours in the fridge before drinking. The key here is to slice your fruit as thinly as you can so that you get the most flavor. If you want sweeter add an apple and another orange.
This will last in the fridge for 24-48 hours.
11. Ginger Orange Fruit Infused Water

l love Basil and use it in everything, it was just a matter of time before I put this Day Spa Mango and Basil Water together. It’s delicious, is a natural anti-inflammatory, and has natural antibiotic properties. Along with an overly sweet fruit like a mango this water is well-balanced and delicious.
Mangos aid in digestion, boost your memory, and increases your sex drive! Do I have your attention now? Try this out, besides being incredibly good for you, it is delicious and will help you drink more water.
Makes one big pitcher of water, can be refilled 4-6 times before replacing fruit and herbs –
- 1 Large Ripe Mango
- Large handful of Basil- about 8 large leafs
Instruction:
In a large clean pitcher rip the basil in half (always rip basil, never use a knife it will brown the herb) and toss in, slice the mango into large chunks and toss in. Cover the fruit and herbs with ice and then add water, place in the fridge for at least an hour before serving for maximum deliciousness. I drank this all evening, about 3 re-fills, and then left it in the fridge overnight, it was so yummy the next morning.

13. Day Spa Pineapple, Grapefruit, and Apple Water
Did you know both grapefruit and apple boost metabolism and curb your appetite? I love foods that help me with my weight loss journey and these two are big ones. Top that with water also curbing your appetite and you have a great refreshing drink that works for you!
Use your favorite kind of apple I used a Green Apple because I wanted to play up the tartness of the grapefruit, if you like your drinks more on the sweet side use a Sweet Crisp or Fuji and use the whole thing. You can also squeeze the pineapple as you add it in, it might add between 5-10 calories to each glass but that is nothing! You burn 5 calories drinking the glass of water!
Makes 1 big pitcher, you can re-fill 3-5 times.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Grapefruit
- 1/2 Apple
- 1/2 of a Pineapple- fresh
- Ice and Water- Fizzy water is good too, just skip the ice.
Get started:
Cut the Grapefruit into medium-sized slices, same with the apple, and add into a pretty juice pitcher. Cut the pineapple into medium to thin slices, ideally you want to try and get all the slices about the same size. Add the pineapple squeezing a little if you want it sweeter, then top with 2 cups ice, top that with water, and place in the fridge for 4 hours. Once you have enjoyed 1/2 of your pitcher of water re-fill it and you can repeat this as long as the flavor stays.

14. Cool and Refreshing Strawberry Lime Spritzer
On a hot summer day, this Strawberry Lime Spritzer will cool you right off! This is one of my favorites to have around the house all the time.
You can choose flat water or fizzy water, both work great! If you are trying to kick your soda habit you should go for a Strawberry Lime Spritzer. I think you will love the cool, refreshing taste and it will help curb your food cravings.
Like it sweeter? Add more strawberries and only 1/2 of a lime, adding more strawberries.
Makes 1-2 liters of Strawberry Lime Spritzer-
Ingredients:
- 8 Frozen or Fresh Strawberries- See note above on freezing strawberries before making.
- 1 Lime
- 1-2 liters of Pellegrino or Club Soda- you can also use flat water
Instruction:
Slice the strawberries into three pieces and drop them into the water or fill an infusion pitcher, then slice the lime into 10 wedges and add to the water. Chill for 3-4 hours and serve, if you like, try making some strawberry and lime ice cubes if you are serving with flat water. In an ice-cube tray place one strawberry slice and a lime slice, cover with water, and freeze for 3-4 hours.
15. After Workout Watermelon and Rosemary Power Water
This delicious Watermelon and Rosemary Power Water helps hydrate you and maintains your fat burning after a workout.

- 2 cups Chopped Watermelon
- 2 large Sprigs of Rosemary
In a large pitcher drop in the watermelon and rosemary, cover with ice, and then water. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving. Once the water is 1/2 way gone refill with cold water, keep doing that 3-5 times before replacing watermelon and rosemary.
Makes 1 one-liter water bottle, refill 3-5 times-
- 1/4 cup Thinly sliced Watermelon
- 1 small Sprig of Rosemary
If the water bottle is full dump some out to make room for the watermelon, if empty put the watermelon and rosemary in first, and then add water. Shove the watermelon and rosemary into your water bottle put them in the fridge for 10 minutes, that’s it! Refill when it gets 1/2 way down with cold water, do that 3-5 times before adding more watermelon and rosemary.
*A note on the water bottle method, you will not be able to get the watermelon and rosemary out so don’t use something you will want to keep unless it has a wide mouth.

When it is hot outside, and I mean HOT you need something that will cool you off, Mint does just that! This combo is light and refreshing, if you prefer it sweeter drop a couple of peach slices into your cup it really intensifies the peach flavor, you can also add a splash of vanilla to add sweetness to the pitcher as well. I use frozen peaches, the slicing, pitting, and removing of the skins is too labor-intensive for me, if you choose to use fresh peaches do all that, place in a bag, and freeze before making this.
Makes 1 pitcher refill up to 8 times
- 1 long sprig of Mint, or a handful of leaves you can tie together with kitchen twine
- 10 frozen Peach Slices, plus more to garnish (optional)
- Water and Ice
I found that leaving the mint leaves on the sprig was easier and I got less debris in my drink that way too. Drop peaches in your pitcher, then the mint, top with ice and water, and place in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Serve in a wine glass*, garnish with a frozen peach slice (also acts as an ice cube) you can refill the pitcher up to 8 times, or until the flavor dissipates.
* I use this trick often, I place my water in a pretty wine glass or in my fancy Stella glass. If you try this you might just trick yourself into thinking you are indulging. My favorite thing to do it put fizzy water in my Tiffany Champagne Flutes, I feel like I am having my all-time favorite drink but it is zero calories and good for me.

Makes 2 liters, re-fill water 3-4 times before replacing apples and cinnamon.
- 1 Apple thinly sliced, I like Fuji but pick your favorite
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
DIRECTIONS:
Drop apple slices in the bottom of the pitcher (save a few to drop in your glass later) and then the cinnamon stick, cover with ice about 1/2 way through then with water. Place in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
LASTS FOR 24 HOURS IN THE FRIDGE.
18. Strawberry and Tangerine Fruit Infused Water
Fruits that are high in Vitamin C are big metabolism boosters! One of my favorite combos is Strawberry and Tangerine Fruit Infused Water, both hot and cold this is a delicious drink.
Try to drink a gallon a day for fast weight loss, all of my zero-calorie drinks count in the “gallon a day,” as does good old fashioned water. Just stay away from the chemical powders and drops, use what’s from nature to lose weight.
I recently came across dried strawberries, which means I can have this all year long but if you can’t find them don’t fret, just slice fresh or frozen strawberries and plan on using a fine-mesh sieve, coffee filter, or tea bag as they might fall apart.
Makes 1 pot of tea or 1 liter of cold drink-
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dried or fresh sliced strawberries
- The rind of one tangerine- try to get little to none of the white pith-
- Water
There are three ways to make Strawberry and Tangerine Fruit Infused Water, put it all in the teapot, or make individual cups. It all depends on your willingness to wash your teapot. I have also included a cold version of this delicious drink.
Teapot instructions- Place the tangerine rind and strawberries into a teapot, cover with water and bring to a boil. To serve cover the nose of your teapot with a coffee filter or use a fine-mesh sieve over your teacup to avoid strawberry pulp.
Make it cold- Boil 3 cups (or as much as your teapot will hold) of water making the “tea pot instructions” let it cool with the fruit left in then strain into a 1-liter jug discarding the strawberries. Top with water until it is full, pluck out the tangerine rind, rinse and add to your pitcher then place in the fridge to cool. Serve over ice and drink up. If you want to do a bigger batch just double the recipe.

19. Honeydew Mojito Workout Water
This vitamin C-rich Honeydew Mojito Workout Water is sure to keep your metabolism going strong. In addition, the mint will help cool you down after a hot workout.
Make this Honeydew Mojito Workout Water in a water bottle and take it with you!
Makes one 1 liter water bottle
Ingredients:
- 4 mint leaves
- ½ cup honeydew melon, sliced into sticks
- ½ lime, thinly sliced into rings or stick
If the bottle is full, pour out some water to make room for the fruit. If empty, add the fruit first. Add the mint, squeezing the leaves slightly to release the oils. Next, add the melon chunks. Curl up lime rings to fit into the mouth of the bottle. Top with water and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Refill with water when the mixture is halfway consumed. You can refill the bottle 3-5 times before replacing fruit.
*A note on the water bottle method: You may not be able to get the ingredients out if you use a traditional water bottle. For re-use, I recommend using a water bottle with a wide mouth for easier extraction of ingredients.
